How To Get Rid Of Ants Naturally
Recently I have been getting overwhelmed by ants. They are the small black kind. They seem to like living under leaves on the ground and under or around old lumber or dead wood. They have been trying to come into my house, as of late too. I have been trying to get rid of them using store bought granules, that claim to kill ants, but with no luck. I even tried a liquid chemical, that is supposed to be for termites, but is said to work on ants, too. Still no luck. They haven't even seemed remotely discouraged. The other day I was talking to an old timer that I ran into at the store and he suggested cinnamon. In fact he said he uses it to keep ants away from electrical switches, because they short out water pressure switches.
My conclusion: Ants don't like cinnamon. Everywhere I have been putting it, they are now avoiding it. It smells great too! It's not toxic like some of those chemicals I was using, it seems to be working, as far as discouraging them and my house now smells like potpourri!
