Previous to the new iPad release
Some financial experts have been following the latest Apple product releases closely and speculating on Apple's product release trends. Some financial experts closely monitor production levels of previous products, their previous release dates and history. They believe that they can accurately predict future products and future product releases, based on this information.
The Competition Heats Up
The iPad 2's were released last year around March, so it is coming up on the iPad 2's one year anniversary. Meanwhile, the Amazon Kindle Fire's that were released late last year were selling a million a week, at one point. Kindle Fire is a tablet personal computer version of their eReader or e-book readers that utilize an Android operating system and they are trying to give the Apple iPads a run for their money at 200 dollars each, versus Apple iPad's 500 and up.
The speculation on the potential release of a new iPad 3 is that it may be coming as soon as February or March 2012. Preliminary speculation of the features that will be on the iPad 3 are that it will have a sharper screen with double the resolution, possibly retina display and a quad core A6 system on a chip.
New Features On The iPad 3?
iPad 3 or iPad HD? There is a lot of speculation on new features on a potentially released iPad 3's. The consensus has been on better screen resolution. Currently the iPads have 1024 x 768 which will more than likely be upgraded to twice that, which would make it 2048 x 1536 on a new Apple iPad 3. The Apple iPad 3 has a Dual core Apple A5X high performance and low power "system on a chip" with quad core graphics. Because of this higher defintion in screen displays some believe that the newest iPad will be called and iPad HD instead of an iPad 3. There is of course the speculations of an iPad 3 being lighter, thinner and come with batteries that last longer.
Retina Display
From Apple-"With the Retina display, everything you see and do on... Apple products.. looks amazing. That’s because the Retina display’s pixel density is so high your eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels. Which means images in games, movies, and photos pop off the screen. Text in books, web pages, and email is crisp at any size. And everything is sharper"- according to Apple. Also according to Apple:- "By developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, Apple engineers were able to pack four times the number of pixels into the same size screen and This many pixels packed this close together -which is 326 per inch-make graphics and text look smooth and continuous at any size."-As of now the highest pixels per inch possible on an Apple iPad is 264. Release Date Of The Ipad 3
Slowing down production of the current iPad 2's may indicate that a new product or version is shortly to be released, some experts are claiming. Some experts are also saying that Apple has a pattern of releasing new Ipad's in the first half of the year and new Iphones in the second half of year. If they are correct, this would mean that the iPad 3 should be coming very soon.

We have something you really have to see. And touch, is what the invitations are saying to an event that is scheduled for March 7th at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. This is the same place that Apple unveiled it's previous iPad and iPad 2. The invitations are said to include an image of an iPad screen with a finger pushing an iPad date/calendar/icon of Wednesday 7, suggestive of that a new iPad will be announced. The Apple announcement or convention is scheduled for March 7th at 10:00 A.M.

We have something you really have to see? And touch?
There is now some speculation that Apple may have a double surprise in store for us. On March 7th there is an event scheduled by Apple at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. During this event it is expected that Apple will announce a new iPad 3 release. But the wording of the invitations that were sent out to the event - We have something you really have to see? And touch? have some believing that there may in fact be two product releases, namely an iPad 3 (something you touch) and and Apple iTV announcement (something you really have to see). This is potentially very exciting news for Apple product lovers!
