Homemade Window Cleaner
With the prices of cleaners going up and the desire to be environmentally friendly, more and more people are using alternatives to some store bought products. You can make a natural cleaner out of vinegar, water and boraxo. For tough cleaning jobs you can use just straight white vinegar and a little water, but be careful around painted surfaces or finishes. White vinegar is great for cleaning glass. White vinegar is also great for cleaning the top of a stove, if it's greasy. You can mix up a batch and put it in an empty window cleaner spray bottle. About 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar, with a tablespoon of borax or boraxo if you have it, works really well as a natural cleaner.
