Oklahoma Flea Markets

Oklahoma Flea Markets

Oklahoma flea markets are a lot of fun. They have an almost festival atmosphere. I have been to some of them when they have live music or other live entertainment.

They're very entertaining whether you have come to shop or just to walk around and meet people. The flea markets in Oklahoma can almost take on a social aspect as well as shopping event. The vendors can be real characters.

Most of the flea markets are open on weekends. You can find all sorts of antiques and one of a kind treasures. Most of the flea markets have food and drinks as well.
Its a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday if you are tired of the same ol same ol.

I had an old friend that used to be a vendor at the AMC Flea Market on Penn and 10th in Oklahoma City. He said he liked to sell things at the flea market for "just something to do". Plus, he said he usually made a little money.

On the map below are the addresses to 3 popular flea markets in the Oklahoma City area. The AMC, Old Paris and Mary's Ole Time Swap Meet. Its a great way to spend the weekend looking at or purchasing collectibles, toys, games, electronics and so many other different things, that it boggles the mind.

Another interesting part about going to the flea markets, is the "haggling". There are no set prices, but of course the vendors would like to get top dollar. Likewise, we buyers inevitably want something for nothing. That's when the real fun begins.

If its a weekend and you are tired of television or if your other weekend activities have become routine, I highly suggest going to a flea market. Its a great way to get out of the house and stretch your legs going from booth to booth checking out the goods that only a flea market will have.

The map below gives exact directions to the flea markets I mentioned and all are along the way if you are out and about. You can spend all the money you have or just site see for free but its sure to be an interesting and eventful time!
